Propane fire pit tables ignite instantly, produce no ash or smoke, and let you control flame height with a simple dial—making them well-suited for patios where cleanup and convenience matter. Wood-burning fire pits deliver a traditional crackling fire and campfire ambiance, though they require more maintenance and may be restricted in some municipalities. Consider your space, local fire codes, and how often you plan to entertain when choosing.

For most residential patios, a fire pit table in the 40,000–55,000 BTU range delivers strong, visible flame and warmth across a typical seating arrangement without overwhelming a smaller space. Higher BTU outputs are better suited to larger open areas or cooler climates where you want more radiant heat. BTU rating is one factor—burner design and wind exposure also affect how the heat performs in your specific setting.

Many of our fire pit tables are designed with a 3-in-1 or multifunctional format, meaning the burner area can be covered with a lid to create a flat surface usable as a coffee or side table. This makes them practical year-round, not just on evenings when you want a fire. Check each product listing to confirm whether a cover or lid is included.
